We provide a wide range of accounting and advisory services: individual and business tax return preparation, business consultation, litigation support, technology consultation, assets under management investments, and personal financial planning. Charles A. Going, CPA is a member of the firm. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Society of Louisiana CPA's as well as the American Institute of CPA's. He is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University in 1977. He has practiced public accounting in the Opelousas, Lafayette and Baton Rouge areas since 1977. Mr. Going has consulted with individual and business owners for over twenty years in areas including business profitability and budgeting, individual and business tax projection and planning, cash flow projection and planning, capitalization required to purchase and finance business enterprises, liquidation and sales of business interest, estate tax, succession and financial planning. Mr. Going has served the District court of St. Landry parish as a court appointed Receiver. Mr. Going has served numerous business, civic, non-profit and religious organizations as a board member including service as president of the St. Landry Chamber of Commerce, the Opelousas Rotary Club, Chairman of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church Parish Council and Parish Finance Committe and he is presently serving as president of the Opelousas Area Cerebral Palsy Clinic. He has served as a member of the LCPA Business consulting committee and the LCPA Peer Review Committee. Mr. Going's personal interests include hunting, fishing, tennis, skiing, and swimming.
M. Scott Sebastien, CPA is a member of the firm. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Society of Louisiana CPA's as well as the American Institute of CPA's. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University in 1981. He has practiced public accounting in the Opelousas area since 1981. Mr. Sebastien has consulted with business and individual clients in the areas of taxation, cash flow, growth and refinancing and capitalization issues. Mr. Sebastien has extensive experience in restaurant accounting, management, profitability and franchising. He currently serves as C.E.O and President of Checkerboard Restaurants, Inc. Mr. Sebastien has served several civic and non-profit organizations. He was an All State Football player and is a member of the Opelousas Catholic Athletic Wall of Fame. He is an avid duck and goose hunter.
Donald E. Fisher, CPA is a member of the firm. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Society of Louisiana CPA's as well as the American Institute of CPA's. He is a graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1976. He has practiced public accounting in the Lafayette and Opelousas areas since 1978. Mr. Fisher consults with individuals and businesses in areas such as financing and capitalization of business enterprises, taxation and planning, personal financial planning, analytical review of business entities, capitalization required to purchase and finance business enterprises, appropriate purchase and sales prices of business interests, and personal investment analysis. Mr. Fisher has served several civic and non-profit organizations including serving as president of the Opelousas Sertoma Club and Opelousas Catholic Parent Teacher Organization. He is currently serving as Finance Director of Opelousas Catholic School and. Mr. Fisher's personal interests include hunting, golf and fishing.
Craig C. Le Bouef, MBA, CPA/PFS, CFP® is a member of the firm. He has practiced public accounting in Opelousas and Houma since 1989. Craig has over 10 years experience in governmental accounting and has consulted with various governmental entities. Since joining the firm, he has been primarily involved in tax and tax planning, accounting services, estate planning, assets under management investing, and all aspects of personal financial planning. Mr. Le Bouef graduated from Nicholls State University in 1989 (BS in finance), and he received his MBA from Nicholls in 1994. Mr. Le Bouef received his Certified Financial Planner (CFP)(R) designation in January 1999. Craig is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, member of the Louisiana Society of CPAs, and member of LCPA CPE Committe. Currently, he serves on the Louisiana Society of CPAs' Estate and Financial Planning Committee and he is a former Board member of the Certified Financial Planner Boards' Board of Examiners. Mr. Le Bouef's civic involvement includes past President of the Rotary Club of Opelousas, board member of the Evangeline-St. Landry United Way, CASA, and St. Landry-Evangeline sexual assault center, and St. Landry-Evangeline Food and Shelter National Board Program. Craig received the Volunteer of the Year Award from the United Way for the 1997-1998 year and was Opelousas-St. Landry Male Citizen of the year. Mr. Le Bouef's personal interests include tennis, running, biking and reading.
Darrren J. Cart, CPA/PFS is a member of the firm. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Society of Louisiana CPA's as well as the American Institute of CPA's. He is a graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1991. He has practiced public accounting in the Opelousas and Lafayette areas since 1993. Mr. Cart has worked closely with individuals and businesses in areas of taxation and planning, accounting services, assistance in obtaining and maintaining financing, liquidation and sales of business interest and personal financial planning. Darren has been awarded the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) Credential by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as a CPA financial planner who possesses both an extensive tax expertise and a comprehensive knowlege of financial planning. Darren has obtained the Series 65 license and is a registered investment advisor with the State of Louisiana. Mr. Cart also has over 13 years of experience in the area of auditing and budgeting for various governmental entities. He is a 1995 graduate of the Leadership St. Landry Program. Mr. Cart has served several civic and non-profit organizations including serving as treasurer of the Sunrise Rotary Club, the St. Landry Youth Athletic Association, Inc. and the Opelousas Catholic Athletic Council. Darren has been actively involved with the youth of the community as a volunteer coach with the St. Landry Youth Athletic Association, Inc., the Acadiana Soccer Association and Opelousas Catholic School. Darren's personal interests are coaching, exercising, traveling and spending time with his wife and four children.
Beth T. Spears, CPA is an Associate Partner of the firm. She graduated from Nicholls State University in 1986 and became a CPA in 1987. Ms. Spears has consulted with individuals and businesses in the areas of Accounting and Auditing, tax and tax planning, and business profitability and cash flow. Beth has two children, and she enjoys reading, baking, fishing, and jogging.
